5/7 -
We ordered Domino's before our work today. I called the cops on our across the street "jerk" who swears and shouts all the time at his family. They slapped a fine on him. I hope he takes it seriously.
Experienced great success tracting this afternoon as we taught some very nice black women, Ann Marie, Moniqua, and Dionne, plus we showed Dionne 'TF.' Both are very good people and committed to all six disc. + are aware of baptism and are willing to read and pray - prayed to end the discussions. They went well.
Plus, we visited Sister May Cocco, who is about any day ready to pass away. Too bad ...
Spoke with Theresa Kreiner tonight and we will go to church with her and Lori Shoop tomorrow.
(a) Hollie Graham + (b) Sister Stone wrote. (c) CALL HOME TOMORROW!!!!!!
*****************************
(a) Hollie Graham is the sister of a fellow elder in the Philadelphia Mission that I knew. I asked Elder Graham if I could write to her and he was cool with it. After I returned home I wound up visiting with Hollie and her friends, Shannon and Rachel, up in the Sacramento area. It seemed as if Rachel wound up having more romantic feelings for me, but the feeling really was not entirely mutual. I liked her, but I was not feeling inclined to pursue anything more than a friendship with her.
(b) Sister Lisa Stone is one of the two sisters that was in my MTC District. She was serving in the Iowa Des Moines Mission but was sent home due to illness. She was later reassigned to a mission in Arizona, I believe.
(c) As full-time missionaries, there are only two times a year when we could call home: Christmas and Mother's Day. Clearly, this next day coming up was bound to be a highlight!
