Take Me Out to the Ballgame!

Photobucket

Of course, the A's lost, but that's just sort of a formality at this point whenever I'm in attendance. The real deal about tonight's game was that Kari's family (including out-of-towners Kenny, Krista, Tyler and Shelby) all came out to the ballpark and we had a blast in Section 244! We basically had an entire section of the Plaza Reserved level to ourselves.

Tonight was Will's first big league ballgame. A young fan a section over surprised Will and I when he found out it was Misters' first time at the Coliseum and he gave us a ball he received earlier in the night from a Marlins' player.

How cool is that? Go, Misters! Thanks, David!

So much for my $25 A's gift card. It's only good for souveniers and tickets, not food. Oh well. While I enjoy a good Saag's sausage like the next guy, I'm not such a big fan of the dogs at the Coliseum. (Unless they're Dollar Dogs on a Wednesday night, of course.) They just really don't measure up. If I get anything to snack on at an A's game, it's usually the Round Table Pizza behind Section 115. I grabbed one for Kari and myself along with a couple of drinks. No ice for her, in case you didn't know.

Huston Street blew the lead in the 9th giving up a 3-run double to Dan Uggla.

He puts the "Ugh!" in Uggla.

The A's managed to make it interesting scoring a run in the bottom half of the 9th. With the score 6-4 and the bases loaded, Ryan Sweeney grounded out to 1st to end the game. Rats!

Either way, Misters had an awesome time at the ballpark for his first game! I look forward to many more trips, Will. Hopefully I can snap my losing streak with you!

Love,

Daddy
