Amy joined us for what turned out to be
Our first stop was to Tomatina.
It was our first visit to this delicious little place.
You can see below where the pizzas and other menu items were being cooked.
I decided to be adventurous so I tried a Steak Piadine: beef in balsamic marinade, lettuce,
tomato, red onion, cucumber, roasted garlic paste, parmesan cheese and ranch dressing.
Now THAT is a man-sized sandwich!
For dessert we headed over to historic
Tucker's Ice Cream where we learned our mistake.
Tucker's motto is: Life is too short. Eat dessert first.
Contrary to news reports of cooler weather, it was HOT outside.
We had plenty of sunscreen on hand, thanks to Mommy.
After dessert we strolled up Park Street enjoying the quaint little shops and what-have-you.
We saw this fabulous culinary creation in front of the Hong Kong Seafood Restaurant.
To cap off a great afternoon in Alameda we headed for the beach!
All in all, it was a memorable family outing!
