Christmas 2008 is over. Kari and I enjoyed our annual visits to family in El Cerrito and Union City to celebrate. Here is a look back at the fun we enjoyed this week!
On Sunday night, Dec 21, we completed our fourth week of a new family tradition that Kari's family started this year: Advent. We met on Sunday night at a different house and shared a spiritual thought about Christmas, sang Christmas carols, followed by a dessert. It turned out to be a lot of fun, and gives us something to look forward to in the years to come, perhaps.

On Christmas Eve, we traveled to Grandma Janet's house in El Cerrito for cheese fondue, a re-enactment of the Nativity, and lots of presents! Thanks, Mom, for another delicious dinner and for being a great host. The kids are having a great time enjoying their new gifts. We also enjoyed the company of my grandma; Dallas (in town from NY); Casey and Eldy and our nieces, Madelin and Gabriela; and James and Bridget and our nephew and niece, Aidan and Molly.
We got up bright and early on Christmas morning to enjoy presents and fun with the kids at our place. Looks like Santa showed up after all!
And finally, later on Christmas Day, we made our annual trip to Omi and Grandpop's house to open gifts and enjoy a tasty ham for dinner! Thank you so much for your kindness and wonderful gifts! As you will see from the pictures, I always enjoy taking in all of the festive decorations throughout the house this time of year. We truly enjoyed finishing off Christmas this year with Ron and Kathi, as well as Keith and Amy, as well as Keith's mom.
Merry Christmas to all!
