1. I cannot stand people who vote a certain way (i.e.; Republican; Democrat) "just because." Grow a pair and think for yourself.

2. What is the point of worrying about things you cannot control?

3. Less stress, more fun.

4. No matter how much money the N.Y. Yankees spend, they will not win the World Series ever again.

5. I have shaken hands with Rickey Henderson, Thomas S. Monson, Placido Domingo, and Steve Young.

6. While I'm not crazy about having to be in the hospital, there are actually plenty of things I like about it, not the least of which is being able to watch "The Price Is Right" uninterrupted.

7. Two words: Zachary's Pizza.

9. I have my taxes filed by mid-February. What's the point of waiting?

11. Favorite movie: "Dead Man Walking."

12. Two years old is the perfect age.

13. Best TV program every week: "Lost." Otherwise, I'm watching TV on DVD. Thank you, Netflix.

18. Barack Obama epitomizes calm, cool, and collected. He does not have the two-speed wheedwhacker engine brain of our outgoing president. I believe he knows what he is doing and why. Thank heavens!

19. There is nothing quite like the roar of the engines or the smell of gasoline and rubber at a live NASCAR event. And surprisingly, the number of mullets has gone down over the years.

20. I set my clock ahead by an hour. Don't ask me why. I have no idea.

21. Every boss I've ever had has been female. It's been a good thing.

22. Teachers are role models no matter if you want to be or not. So when I drive past the high school and I see 20-something teachers in mohawks and Birkenstocks, I kind of cringe.

23. I am a father of two, soon to be three, and have will soon have a total of 17 nieces and nephews.

24. My biggest turn-off is people who are (a) know-it-alls, (b) snobby, (c) self-centered, or (d) insincere.
