So, we did! (See trains, that is.) I remembered this place off of Marina Ave that I stumbled into one Saturday morning when I got lost trying to remember where the Target or Wal-Mart was near Davis Street. Duh! But, I'm glad I did. The San Leandro Historical Railway Society is a non-profit group open to the public all week long. It's a great little place across from Thrasher Park.
Well, the reason I'm glad I remembered this place is because (of course, it's free) and more importantly, Will loves trains! He's hooked on everything Thomas, the Tank Engine, and as of late, the Polar Express.
And just our luck, there was a Thomas engine all ready to roll on the tracks!
We had a blast! If you're a train enthusiast, I highly recommend stopping in.
