Go Bears!

I was able to enjoy a very fun afternoon at cloud-covered Memorial Stadium in Berkeley for the CAL game with my mom yesterday. The Bears demolished lowly Eastern Washington of the Big Sky Conference, 59-7.

It wasn't so predictable early on as the Eagles finished the first quarter 7-7, and were only down 10-points at the half. But CAL poured it on, 42-0, in the second half and won big. This is the first year we're splitting season tickets, courtesy of my mom.

Our seats are right above the tunnel where the players enter the field through a cloud of smoke. We have some spirited fans sitting in front of us that kept us laughing throughout the game. A couple of rows over was someone who had enjoyed himself a little bit too much and by the fourth quarter was shirtless. We'll be back when the mighty USC Trojans come to town in October. I cannot wait!
