October 16, 1994

Oct 16th - Sister Kessler brought us to church early. Linda Shim and her children came. Her first time! She mentioned learning about Temples and its significance in Relief Society and Jay was a handful in Sunday School, which was on the book of Daniel. And both Jay and Shelby were too much in Sacrament. It was stressful on her. She left from the foyer just after church. I wasn't able to get in touch with her the whole day on the phone and it's been frustrating my mind. I hope it wasn't too negative of an experience for her.

President and Sister Brown were down, too. They spoke in Sacrament. She talked on Christ and he talked on the List Program.

I realized I'd forgotten the house key in Sacrament, so I left a message on Phyllis' machine. Pres. Brown drove us home and there she was (!); she is so cool!

So he "inspected" our apartment! It's new! So we lucked out and passed.

At church, the potluck to break the Missionary Fast was going on. We home taught the Carlsons. They are cool. The Humphries from Stone Harbor, and the Fentons, Becktels, and Walkers were there, too.

Gary Fenton gave us a ride home. I left the Becktels, Carlsons, and Fentons with a copy of the List Program at church.

I got 32 phones as Rogers slept. He mustn't have done too much work back home. I sure didn't either, but this isn't too difficult. Well, he was apologetic about it. That was nice.

We tracted out our neighborhood again. Not too many friendly faces. We ought to teach tomorrow!

Mike Linzey picked us up and we had a delicious fajita dinner at their house and told lots of mission stories and discussed their List. They filled it out. So cool!

We finally left. Wingett called us Rogers for an hour or so. Then Garner called and I gave him the weekly numbers and we talked about the Shims and our area. I pray for next week!
