Jan. 11th - Wow. President Morley called at 7:15am with the good news. I would be transferred to Doylestown and serve as District Leader. Amazing. My new comp. is E. Tom Garlick, from Payson, UT. He's cool. I talked to him this morning. My District consists of Sisters Boyter & Larsen; E. Gillespie & Ward (!) ZL and two guys Mooy & Boren! I am excited!
This morning I talked to Mel Sheffey, Dede Leitz, E. Holcomb, and E. Condie. Some notable transfers would be E. Willy arriving in Linwood as the new Z.L. Wilson to DE as DL. I am excited to leave after seven months here. I wish Rogers the best. I'll certainly miss him. But it will be great to develop some good habits. Rogers new comp. is E. LeMond.
Today we visited the Buckley's at the squad. Judy showed us around. We talked for a minute.
Afterwards, we went to Trish's. She brought us to see Dakota, (her horse) and we shoveled wood chips in the stalls. I still don't really feel acknowledged around her. She spends all this time around Rogers and all. Ugh. Terrible afternoon.
We went to Homemaking tonight. We were asked to share a few words on the importance of Visiting Teaching. I did, and closed by singing "Come Unto Jesus." We were also fed good!
Afterwards, we went back to Trish's to pick up laundry. I called Rachael and told her to call at 10:30pm. So I said my last good byes. Well, as much as I complained for a day or two about Trish, I love that family so much. I am so grateful to the Lord for blessing me the opportunity to have found, taught, baptize, and fellowship with them. They are awesome!
Rach and I talked for a minute or a while tonight. Her parents had been arguing about her going to the hospital for therapy today. She wasn't too happy - but called after our initial good bye - and we talked some more. She's sweet.
Well, I guess, after seven months, I can close out yet another chapter on an area. Chapter 5 begins on Fri. The greenies flying in are stuck in a storm in St. Louis. Transfers are on Friday. Oh well.
Good bye, Cape May. I'll miss you all. Good bye.
