January 26, 1995

Jan. 26th - The first item of business today was to get the car serviced. So we brought it into the FORD dealership down the street. While we waited, we watched Disney's "Pinocchio" and both noticed how Christian and symbolic it is: Jiminy Cricket - the conscience. Pinocchio had to prove himself faithful to receive a body. It was great!

We ate at McDonald's for lunch and saw Nichole Kehoe. She gave us her phone number. She's sweet.

So we tracted our near YMCA and we werent' able to teach today.

Then we had service. Kelly was there today along with Mike and us. The kids were all wanting us to play with them. I got beat by a 7-yr. old in chess. That sucks.

After service, we drove to the Taylor's for a chicken / broccoli casserole for dinner which was very good. Bill, Mike, John, and Becca were there. Good people. Fun to be around.

And after dinner we drove to Andy Baker's house. He isn't committed to wanting to learn more about the church now. But he is a real nice guy.

Well ... my  head is still aching. Why? I don't know. We decided to come home early. So we stopped by a bookstore to see if we could find Joe Horner, who, his roommates mentioned, was at.

He wasn't at the bookstore. But we did get some great books. NOT! All it was was a typical Anti-Mormon "Christian" bookstore. What values do they have? That is a real turn-off to me. I did get a Valentine's card for Andrea and a GET WELL card for Chelsea.

We came home and I called for numbers. I called the ZLs and was put on hold for nearly 10 minutes. Rude. Good night.
