March 3, 1995

Mar. 3rd - Elder Gilstrap and Clayton led us all in a discussion on pride at DDM. I conducted a skills game including the Mission Pyramid, Discussion Mastery, and sign language of the song: "Together We'll Serve." It was an enjoyable meeting. The sisters baked us cupcakes.

Elder Olson and I then left with Gilstrap to attend Zone Counsel at Broomall. There, E. Gillespie, Arndt, and Benson sat in on this meeting with Gilstrap and I. One suggestion to improve unity in the Zone is a newsletter. And I suggested that problems within the Dist. be dealt with by ZLs (if necessary) through the DL.

Tonight, E. Olson & I thought we'd tract before dinner. But we knocked on the Taylors door and then we spoke to Sis. Taylor, and her daughters: Sarah and Laurel. They are a sweet family.

After our conversation, we went to the Dunlops for a pizza / buffalo wings dinner. Yummy. We also played piano and watched a seminary video segment on "Spiritual crocodiles," based on a Gen. Conf. talk by Boyd K. Packer. Sometimes I tread murky waters and never see the hungry crocodiles waiting to drag me under. I did enjoy the video and their company - the Dunlops, that is.

May I also add that this morning, the Prophet, Howard W. Hunter, died; and the entire account is on p. 450 of this journal. It is sad, but exciting. Pres. Gordon B. Hinckley would be our next Prophet. And we'll have another apostle.
