March 5, 1995

This morning I interviewed Sister Larson and Boyter. Both were wonderful conversations. I am very impressed with their area and how it has progressed.

Martha Coble was in the foyer when I finished. I was delighted to see her.

And Bishop Knight told me that Ted Ottey called last night to ask about church on Sunday and said he would come.

No way! Especially considering ... he said that he didn't want to visit until he read the BofM. But there he was. Melody went to Primary. And Ted, Harmony, and Lori came down to Gos. Princ. Martha also came and our lesson was on Prophets.

I briefly went over a "first" with Martha before Sacrament. And I then accompanied the Ottey family. Ted asked all about the Holy Ghost, the Sacrament, baptism, temple work. Lots of questions!

But I feel that he really enjoyed himself. And Sister Clay invited him and his family to dinner on Thursday night, with us. I am excited to see how this turns out!

This afternoon, we broke our fast. We asked directions to a member referral from Graeme and Robin H. We ended up not being able to find the place.

We went to the Camps for dinner. Their home produces quite a stench. But they are so cool together. We did our "unity & love" FHE lesson, after which we closed with hymn: "Families Can Be Together Forever." I offered the closing prayer.

From there, we went to the Ahrens' home. Olson & I played piano songs and sang, also. They fed us cinnamon buns and milk. We enjoy their company.

Both E. Mooy & S. Boyter passed off their Silver Awards today. Very impressive. Our Dist. got every goal except for the Joints / Splits goal. Awesome!
