Chillin @ the Pool with Misters

Photobucket

Now this is what I call summertime! Misters and I took advantage of a perfectly calm, bright and sunny afternoon and hit the pool. This was Will's first trip to the pool for the summer and did we ever have a great time!

We took our time getting wet as the water is just a bit cool to the touch when you get in. But that's the type of pool that will leave you feeling refreshed when you're done. And for me, yesterday anyhow, feeling ready to take a nap after it's all said and done.

But Misters wasn't bashful. He spent some time with me bobbing around the inside perimeter of the pool. We looked at airplanes passing by overhead and birds flying nearby. We talked about the sounds we heard and waved to Claire and her friend, Prachit. She had dance tonight and so she wasn't able to get wet with us.

For a while, Misters started walking in circles at the top of the pool steps. He wound up getting dizzy and stumbled around a bit. So I scooped him up and brought him back into the water with me so he could get his bearings straight again.

He built up the courage to get his feet wet and would go down a couple of steps into the pool. But mostly he just seemed content to enjoy getting his feet wet for now. This is the exact kind of relaxing afternoon that makes summer so totally worth it for me. Just me and my boy. Chillin at the pool. With Misters. What.

Misters looks so adorable enjoying the feel of the water beneath his feet. Can he swim on his own by then? I assume that he can now. Anyway, thanks for sharing all about that wonderful day! All the best!

Thanks, Lindsay! He's a big old 7th grader these days, though he's not that big. LOL Sorry it took so long to respond!
