ONE YEAR ON MY MISSION!!!
I feel no major difference today, other than I am one year older. A mission sails by very quickly. As Pres. Hunter said, "A little time to serve the Lord, a lifetime to think about it."
We taught a nice lady, Mrs. Kook, tracting this morning in Burleigh. She is very ill and unlikely we'll hear from her soon.
Our Mission sent a letter to our landlord telling him we were vacating by 9/30 - WHAT?! So, we found a sweet townhouse in Courthouse and it won't be long before we move.
Sis. Garr + Elder Jagerson hit it off on the airplane and are now practically engaged. That guy! I'm excited!
Hollie sent a tape. It was cute. All of her friends, family + Elder P (BOGUS) spoke. How nice. Plus, her friend Shannon wanted me to write. My good friend, Sister Adams, also wrote! Grandma also wrote.
We did our phones, and then taught Dorothy Fenwich and her neighbor (who left after the Joseph Smith story). She's been through a lot, Dorothy has. Her legs were amputated due to poor circulation. She, also, undoubtedly won't contact us either.
So, tonight Scott Jett, Clint Walker, and I taught basically the 2nd disc. to Larry Leonard. He wants church as do his children and he does have a testimony. He gave the closing prayer and asked Father in Heaven to bless him with the strength to bring his wife back to church. He is a rock! Set up a 3rd disc. next Wed at 7pm.
After that, we visited Sister Moore. Her husband is on a trip for the Coast Guard in Oakland, CA. Shoot! I'm jealous.
And after that we saw the Linzeys which was nice.
My throat is hurting. Sis. Moore gave me some tea I am taking with honey. I hope it'll help.
Plus, the new elders here in Millville and Absecon: Elder Mooy (from Holland!) and Elder Perkins (from Springville, UT).
One year - hard to believe!
