Then I went to Dr. Mroz for my eye exam at noon. My prescription is a bit stronger. Keri, an employee, helped me pick a new pair, (attractive) and so I had $10 discount on the exam and 50% the frames, a total of $163.00. Good deal.
So I withdrew $80 to pay the down payment in order to have the glassesmade. Then I decided I would give either Mom or Grandma a call because if they don't mail the rest of the money and I get transferred, that would stink! All the Mission Leadership was at a Zone Conf., so I couldn't get in touch with them. Grandma said she'd quick and transfer $100 into my account. She does "look out for us" as Dad wrote recently. I love her!
Our Media Referral told us he'd rather follow the Native Americans than Christ. If only he'd read the Book of Mormon .... So, we had to cancel that appointment.
We made our phone contacts and then tracted Pacific Ave. in the Villas. Even met a young man named Dallas. A real nice family we'll visit to teach on Sat. morning.
Ed Shim called to change tonight's visit to Sun. night. I asked if we could deliver the video tomorrow. We will.
Tonight we visited the Becktels with Dave Hinsdale and Clint Walker for what was supposed to be role-playing; what turned out to be a Correlation Meeting. OK ...
I made 4 phone calls to get over 94 for today. One was a return to a nice lady, Mrs. Frees, who was honored nationally from her poetry. Neat! Elder Steuart spilled spaghetti sticks. We cleaned it up. He cracked my back which felt great. Shared scriptures, bore testimony, sang "Sweet Is the Work," and then hit the sack. I love the Lord! The church is true!
