November 2, 1994

Nov. 2nd - We did our laundry early this morning and got our gas pumped for free, by John Weiss. How thoughtful; and he's still reading the BofM.

When we got home, Elder Wilson left a message on our machine. He wanted us to go to his apartment, but didn't say when.

So we drove to a rest stop in Absecon and ate at Burger King there, and Elders Bailey, Perkins, Ellsworth, Giles, Mooy, and Garner pulled up. We left to McDonald's and they ate there, after which we played football and lost 7-3 (42-18), to the Span-Ams. Ouch!

We all talked; Wilson, Dickie, and I about the driving situation, after the game.

More organization, thought, and effort should've gone into planning this activity and it wasn't there. So I got that off my chest.

We stopped in at Burger King for drinks before heading home; all of us very sore.

Our new neighbors were moving in tonight. They are both deaf. We said 'hi' and talked to them on our way out to dinner at the Becktels.

The Neutermans were all at dinner, a delicious stew. After dinner, we taught a long 4th discussion. Bruce got off on a few tangents, but the great point of it was, they committed to live the Word of Wisdom, and most definitely will be baptized this month! Angela offered the closing prayer. Bobby read the entire BofM Reader, and Trish did the whole reading assignment, plus she wants to buy a set of scriptures!

We had an apple crisp / vanilla ice cream dessert; only with onions (for Hades' sake!) inside of it. Blech!

OK, good night!
