December 31, 1994

Dec. 31st - New Year's Eve! I can't believe today is the last day of 1994! This morning I called up E. Holcomb in Wilmington, DE, and we talked. He's so cool. We talked about Mission Council. Some of what became of Mis. Coun. was that in '95 we will report only our hours, and not points. And so I feel very good about that. Because points make it seems fake sometimes and some people may not even be really working, but just have points. I hope the new system works!

Then, Cindy called! She's a sweetheart, too! We talked about everything for awhile. I felt bad because I just haven't written too much lately. But it was so nice to talk to her. I also spoke with Gene for awhile. I love them.

Perkins, Condie & the Span-ams are playing hoops up in Linwood at 3pm. So Rogers called McCallum, and he's gonna play with us.

We went by the post office and I bought 32¢ stamps. A regular first class rate letter next year is that amount. After that we went to Jim & Audrey Kessler's and saw Green Bay defeat Detroit in the NFL playoffs.

Then we drove to Matt McCallum's and from there we drove to the Linwood chapel where Elders Wilson and Drake and some young men were warming up. I scored on Wilson twice on lay-ups to win one game.

Then Perkins and Gledhill showed up and we played football and beat the Span-Ams this time. It was fun.

We went to dinner at the DeFeo's and played Cops'n Robbers afterwards plus watched "Tombstone" with Kurt Russell and Val Kilmer. It wasn't so good. We had fun over there.

I stayed up until midnight to usher in the New Year with a prayer of thanks and a resolution to increase in wisdom, spirituality, social skills, and physical health. 1994 seems to have gone by so fast and it is now 1995!
