January 20, 1995

Picked up my slacks at the cleaners on the way to the Jarrettown Chapel for my first DDM. The theme was "Love One Another" and Sister Boyter gave the most creative workshop! We each cut, glued, and designed Valentine cards using ENSIGN / New Era magazines & construction paper. Cool!

After DDM, E. Ward and E. Gillespie drove me down to Broomall for Zone Council Meeting. There, we met with E. Robison and E. Arndt, the other 2 DLs in the zone. We talked about member work and Dist. Leader duties. Good meeting.

From there, we headed to the Mission office to pick up a D.L. Handbook & other notes to get me started. Plus, Rach's hat was there for me!

We went by Tiny's for $1 hoagies and drove up to Glenside's apartment and their landlord and elderly LDS lady, Sister Bessie. Sweet lady.

We met up with Boren and Mooy and Garlick in Warminster at 5pm and left home from the church at 6pm.

Tonight, we visited Al and Barbara Lutz and their 3 Japanese Akita dogs (Kunu, Scooter, Saipan) and talked about their potential investigator friend, Nick; and Marguerite, another friend.

We then headed to Mike Gillis for a steak / potato dinner which we devoured. Sister Gillis told us all about her Born Again friend and how they've been talking about the church on her school bus.

So we cruised home and I got through numbers. Garlick and I are getting along. I'm adapting. It's cool. We planned for Saturday and crashed asleep. Good day!
