January 6, 1995

Jan. 6th - Today we had DDM. At the meeting, I played the piano. E. Condie & Perkins gave a workshop on the "Two-Minute Door Approach." E. Porter went over the new mission guidelines with us. And a very special moment came after the opening prayer - E. Prepchuck anointed my head and E. Porter gave me a blessing. That through my obedience and diligent work, I would be healthy again. I did feel the Spirit. It was very peaceful.

After our meeting, we drove to Joi's shop. She wasn't in yet. I bought an Italian hoagie and chips & drink. Then we drove by Allan Jett's home and pick up a bag of food for dinner (spaghetti).

We head to Burdette Tomlin Hospital. There we sat two hours (Rogers ate at the cafeteria) and waited to be interviewed by the Volunteers Director, Betty Crilly. She gave us some forms and general info. A good service opportunity.

After the hospital we went to Margaret Neal's home in No. Wildwood. We took down her X-mas tree and afterwards watched "Nightline," in which Ted Koppell investigated our church. Interesting.

We came home for a bite to eat, and then headed to the Becktels. I was making another tape for Andrea. She's been on my mind a ton lately. I love her.

Well, we had correlation without Dave Hinsdale. So we'll have to attend PEC Sunday. Janette suggested Clint's mom, Helga Long, to bring us to transfers. I called her and she said yes. It was great! We talked about our work last week; next week's work (splits); it was a good meeting. The Becktel's mission friend, Chris (from No. Jersey) was visiting - funny guy.

Tonight, at 10:25pm, Rachael called. We talked for an hour. She's sweet. Great conversation. She got my hat I bought for her for her birthday today. OK, good night!
