February 10, 1995

Feb. 10th - Finally we were able to work in our area. We tracted for about 3 hours today near the church. And one man, José, talked with us for about 20 minutes in his garage. Garlick and I really had lots of rhythm and cohesiveness; unity, in our mini-presentation of the 00 and 1st. We left him our phone number.

We walked so far, we forgot where we parked the car. When we found it, we drove to Encorse Books to look around before our D/A with the Bements.

Dinner was pizza. Yum-yum. We invited them again to the workshop on Sunday night at the church. We listened to some Chopin piano he bought on CD. Beautiful.

His son was ill with an ear infection, so we were asked to help bless him. E. Garlick performed his very first anointing. And Mike Bement blessed his son that he would heal. He admonished him to "follow the example of these two fine elders," which was very humbling.

After dinner, we went to help Joe Horner celebrate his 28th birthday with Linda, his girlfriend. He was just getting over bronchitis. We gave him a card. It was fun.

I got a Valentine's package from Grandma today. She's so awesome! Gave the ZL's our Dist. numbers for the week. Working with them is OK. They are very unpredictable. I think probably more so than E. Wilson, for sure, but different. I just remember Wilson being real narrow-minded. Ward & Gillespie like to have more fun, but are only strict sporadically. Ward is conservative and alway has been. Gillespie's still getting the feel of things.
