February 2, 1995

February 2nd - This morning we did our laundry at the Roach's. Boy does it take a long time to do laundry there. So we hit the ACME and also a bookstore next door.

Then we went to Sis. Bement's home and ate lunch. The sisters arrived and had lunch after which we kind of planned the workshops. But Sis. Boyter was sick. It kind of dragged did the meeting. I tried to help out. I'll fill you in on the workshops when I find out what's happening. That's where we're at now.

So, we changed and went to service.

Now, Kelly was there. And she is getting to be too friendly. I believe it'd be wise to do like almost any other girl and stay away. She's sweet, but is, like I said, too friendly.

I did really enjoy service though. We played "Chubby Bunny" before going home. I only got 5 marshmallows in my mouth before quitting. Garlick had 12 marshmallows in his mouth and still said "Chubby Bunny."

Tonight we sat in on Steve Francesconi's 3rd New Member lesson with Bro. Bailey. I told Bro. Bailey about the meeting with the sisters today and also about Rick calling Brian & Janice Cliver.

And then we saw "the man who has everything," Bill Hirst and his family. He gave us quilts / comforters / and glasses. Offered us a BBQ / hibachi and also gave me an umbrella. Amazing. Great conversationalist, too. About having to sacrifice to go on my mission, he said - "You have your whole life to live and do everything. But you get too old too soon and too smart too late. Enjoy your mission!" He's a very great man.

Tonight, we ate at McD's and then Garlick talked to Joe Horner before I got numbers and went to bed. Good night!
