February 6, 1995

Feb. 6th - Garlick and I definitely need a split. He has gotten so quiet. If it's something I'm doing, it is completely accidental. It probably isn't but you begin to wonder ...

I went straight to the bathroom this morning, and Garlick hit the Hot Water switch on the circuit breaker, and all power went off.

So we called David Stout, the landlord, and he came over to drain the water heater and fix it. It was broken. Now we have hot water!

We drove down to Warminster so that I could split with Boren to do a PPI and also see how the work is going.

Our interview was good. Boren is just beginning member work. Kind of uncomfortable with it, so I gave him suggestions as well as suggestions on planning. I felt it was a very productive interview.

We ate at TACO BELL. I ate tons of it. Then we tracted out in the sub-zero weather. As E. Rogers might say, "Colder than a wedgie." Pres. Morley told me I could call him about returning my checkbook to me. LeMond and him ended up baptizing Jeremy Denning and got the Standard of Excellence! Awesome!

Well, tracting was OK. But boy did I ever have to relieve myself! We drove home quickly. I began to feel much better soon after we got home.

Then we had to stop by KMART. I bought myself a belt. Cool.

And tonight we had service at the YMCA. We played hoops and watched little kids (Ryan, Drew and Ricahrd - b-ball player, Amy, and this girl Missy, who wet her pants right there in front of us). The lady who we worked with, Allison, was real sweetl. Fun to talk to.

After YMCA, we ate McD's and came home. Boren's friend, Nikki Arango, called from Philly. I talked to her for a minute.

It's real cool to be around Boren. We've known each other our whole missions. We came out together. He's a great elder. Glad to be here with him.

Oh - and Sis. Boyter tells me she's having problems gaining a testimony of the Doctrine and Covenants. ?  So, I called Pres. Morley, and he told me "it could be a ploy, (I hope not) to talk to a young elder on the phone; to get you emotionally involved. That's why we have Mission Parents. You tell her to call Sister Morley or I." Morley is very cool! Good night!
