April 19th - We drove early to seminary. Ronda Bailey wasn't there. Argh! So I began to leave and (click!) the door opens - there she is! So, I'll have my suit pressed for Conference, Saturday. Heavenly Father loves me.
We saw our friend lady at the laundry place before leaving by bus to Philly.
Grandma Fred (Anti-Mormon) was researching at the Presbyterian Archives. She was quiet. And Elder Taylor and her together proved to be a quiet day.
We saw Independence Hall, Ben Franklin and Betsy Ross' home, a famous Episcopal Church frequented by many of our founding fathers. We ate cheesesteaks at world famous Jim's on South Street. And we met Elders Bytheway and Holcomb, also on a Zone Hop.
So, we came home on the bus, and had barely enough time to relax before we met Rick Balasz.
We visited Ted and Lori Ottey. Ted gave me the Bement's tapes. And he thanked us for helping him understand our church. He is leaning, slowly but surely, about our church, which is exciting. He may join, but it will be awhile.
From there, we saw Joe Horner. He got new scriptures and was very happy to see us. Good man.
We then met Brother Fujinaga. He's a member of about 8 years. And his wife arrived home as we got there. They seem so withdrawn from the church. She said, "We'll call you when we're ready." How tragic. I hope that becomes sooner than later.
Finally, tonight, we visited the Bement family and had a wonderful conversation. We invited Bro. Bement and family to brainstorm a list onto their computer and give us a printed copy on Sunday. Same with Rick Balasz in between trips. I am excited to see the list grow. We need to get in earlier each night. I enjoyed tonight. Good night.
