April 22nd - Up early! We drove Lansdale to Broomall for Conference, and I was able for presumably the last time on my mission, to see good friends like E. Perkins, E. Graham, E. Gledhill, E. Evans, S. Strong, E. Garlick, E. Steuart, E. Wingett. I will see these folks at the Regional Conference in June, though.
We had a wonderful Solemn Assembly. Recent converts from all over the mission bore their testimony and conversion story.
Selected Elders and Sisters also spoke.
I enjoyed Pres. Brown's talk and re-emphasizing the sermon by Elder Scott, of the Twelve, about repentance.
And Pres. Morley gave a fiery speech. He spoke of the Great Reformation of the Church and history by Jedediah Grant in 1855-56. And he gave a strong concluding testimony. I have always loved his talks.
This afternoon was a Talent Show, and also the Mission Olympics.
Trish, Angie, Bobby, and Mike Neuterman all came up to the Conference. Rebecca DeFeo came with them. It was awesome to see them today. We laughed and talked.
I said a lot of good-byes. It was sad to go home tonight. We drove by Sis. Roach's. She tried to feed us. I cried. I just had a lump in my throat the whole time.
I went to the bathroom and spit up whatever it was I ate and just bawled. "It just going too fast," I kept saying. My mission is going by too fast.
So Sis. Roach comforted me. And we then came home to plan tomorrow. I got Nancy a ride to church.
And I expressed my depression to Sis. Boter. I always feel like I can't be taken seriously. Maybe I ask for it sometimes. But, everything (her concerns with me of the past) coupled with the fun and sadness of today - I just couldn't take it. I simply need to take a deep breath. Less stress. More fun. (I saw Olsen, too!)
