April 24th - Our mini-missionary failed to show up. He has a job conflict. I talked to his mom, Sister Manning, tonight. If it works out later in the week, no problem. Don't worry, be happy.
Sister Watson drove us over to Allison Simpson's home. Not there. So we drove to Marie Goff's. Not there. Ugh!
We went tracting, and a prison minister let us in. A nice man; retired. He gave a long "10 minutes" in which he shared the Plan of Salvation. He was too deeply entrenched in his beliefs to accept anything. He was very nice to us. But, when we finished the block, he gave us the Book of Mormon back with the excuse, "It's too complex." OK ...
We then visited Allison who was home. And we talked a lot about books. She has a Book Club with some girlfriends so we set up a Book of Mormon club with her. She promised to read 1/2 the BofM by Father's Day. We shall see.
And then we tracted some more.
Tonight we ate spaghetti with the Camps. And followed up on the 10-Step Program.
Then, Chris Warden and I met at Graeme's and we went to Steve' home again. On the way, he told me about Internet. It's a computer system which allows you to talk to people around the world. There is a Mormon on-line program, too. I got to talking to this one girl, Rachel York. And I arranged to write to her. How cool! And I even called and talked to her at Graeme's surprise! We'll see...
Anyhow, Chris taught Steven the 6th New Member Lesson and I helped.
Nancy Feely was at Graeme's with E. Taylor. Rather than teach a second, they did an "other" and helped her understand the importance of the Book of Mormon and prayer.
Sister Camp picked up Nancy and then Taylor and I came home.
I got an Easter package from the family and a nice letter from Rebecca Downard. Good night.
