Mike Bement drove us to Robin Hinsdale's old home where we met with Sister Watson and her neighbor, Kenney. We loaded Robin's washing machine and dryer onto Kenney's pick-up truck. Then we moved it to Graeme's shop. A fun project. Mike treated us to a Dairy Queen Blizzard afterwards. This afternoon we visited A-Day; an agricultural fair sponsored by Delaware Valley College. Good for public relations; exposure to the community. We then met a man, honest in heart, I felt, Bill Koehne, while we tracted. He was weeding his garden when we approached him.
He moved here from Mesa not too long ago. He was familiar with the Temple in AZ as well as the clean cut, well-dressed elders. I gave him "An Apostle's Testimony," by Elder Nelson and asked him to read it. "I assure I will from cover to cover," Bill replied.
We then were taken to dinner by Graeme. He drove us to his home-home. Sister Watson, and Frank (a wonderful artist) ate a chicken dinner with us. Delicious.
Graeme helped us in teaching Nancy Feely a great 2nd discussion. We read, I suggested at the beginning of our lesson, from 3 Nephi 11. Then we knelt, and I asked her to pray, asking if the book and the Prophet Joseph were true. She said she felt that they were.
And at the end of our lesson, I asked if she would commit to be baptized by someone holding the proper authority, and she agreed!
So the date was set for Mother's Day. Nancy gave the closing prayer. Graeme arranged to bring her to church. And then he took her to dinner at Perkins, while we came home.
