April 30, 1995

April 30th - Happy 25th, Casey! And get well soon ... he's still wheelchair bound from the broken leg accident. Ouch.

Nancy came to church today. I arrived at church early to PPI the Sisters.

Sister Buck had a concern with Bro. Bailey as Mission Leader. She is really wanting to learn more and increase skills. She will feel more confident with the Green Award.

Sister Boyter had a member concern. Teresa Cole apparently is obsessed with me and wants to marry me. I asked Sis. Boyter to tell Teresa I was flattered, but involved with mission and friends at home - not gonna work out.

I talked to Graeme about it during church. He told me to bring it up with the Mission Presidency.

I am so grateful to have Nancy at church today. She is really enjoying it. It's like she knew who we were the very day we met her.

Rain. Rain. Rain. Everywhere rain (!) this afternoon.

But .... after church I gave Sis. Boyter a blessing. She wants to focus on mission life, but goes home so soon that it's tough. I blessed her that she would have the fortitude and desire to serve; and that she would teach in a non-member's home this afternoon.

E. Taylor and I tracted a lot in Chalfont this afternoon. Big complex and all, but none interested. So we visited Cory Bailey, home from UVSC, and preparing for a mission to Brazil.

And we met with Kathy and her son David Clay for a moment, too. They are fun!

Then we attended C.S. Lewis' "The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe," performed at Doylestown Presbyterian Church.

A lot of the parishioners at the church know us fairly well now. We have left quite an impression with some of the folks there apparently; they remembered us!

The Sisters got the Standard of Excellence for April! I am so proud of them!
