October 27, 1994

Oct 27th - We picked up my white clothing from the Becktels this morning, studied the 3rd discussion, and got ready to leave after lunch.

We tracted out Bates Ave. and Atlantic Ave. and taught a 00 to a lady out in her yard; a 00 to a local Catholic member out on his driveway; and a 1st discussion in the home of an elderly couple, but they wouldn't accept the Book of Mormon.

Sam Gellura wasn't home. We came home to find food Allan Jett had dropped off on our porch. Then we headed over to the Walker's.

Brother Hinsdale "lunched" us tonight. So I called and talked with Brother Fenton as to some guidance in how to work with Hinsdale. "You direct and lead him," said Gary. Frustrating.

I got 20 phone calls and talked to Nadine who we haven't seen in a while. She said Elder Powell had written her. She moved back in with her parents. Very tired tonight. Mail: Rebecca Downard wrote. She never really seems too interested in me at all. And Rachael Poindexter wrote again. I'm beginning to think she has a serious crush on me. We'll see. And Grandma M. wrote. She's busy making apple pies, helping Grandpa daily, and attending the House of the Lord in Portland weekly. She is quite an example to me. Good night.
