December 23, 1994

Dec. 23rd - Grandma sent McDonald's certificates, so we went there for lunch! And afterwards, we stopped in on Clara Fullerton for an hour or so. She was preparing for her work Christmas party. It was good to see her again.

Then we went to the Neutermans. I dialed Germany and Elder Johnson is a Sr. missionary and the sisters are on the 7th floor without a phone, he's on the 9th floor with a phone. So I'll call tomorrow at 10am. Cool!

We then went tracting by Fire Lane in North Cape May. One lady from Spain let us in. We were able to do 00.

Then we visited Jim Kessler and Audrey, who's getting over a cold. She cashed a $10 check I received from Colleen Diamond, now living in Lehi, UT. How sweet!

We ate dinner shortly after the Kessler's with Scott and Juanita Jett. Domino's Pizza and chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream. Great meal! She even gave us a gift to go. Very sweet.

We stopped in at the Buckley's. Judy gave me some laundry I left behind.

And then we came home. I got 16 more phone calls, as I got 16 this morning. No returns. And our day was done.

Tonight I had a sad experience. On our way to the Kessler's, we passed a cat, bleeding and dying in the middle of the road. It was so very sad. He was all white. I called someone on the police dept. to notify the group who could help the cat. It was just so sad. I felt awful inside; sad.

And tonight, I could not go to sleep. I was so nervous about calling Germany and all. And I totally wanted to talk to Grandma McMurray, so I called Grandma, and go through to her very late. I talked to her. What a thrill. And I also briefly talked to Cheryl, Cliff, Sr. and Cliff, Jr. They were all coming home from a Christmas party at Patty Proebstel's home. I just loved being able to talk to her. She said she had sent a package and a letter. How sweet!

I also left at Palomares' home, a message to give me a call tonight. Good night!
