December 24, 1994

Dec. 24th -  Merry Christmas Eve! Porter called in the morning. 7pm - 9pm will be kind of a P-day for the mission, and for today and tomorrow, points will not be collected.

Mike Jones called about a ride to church tomorrow. I called Alan Jett to arrange a ride.

We filled up the car with gas and then headed to the DeFeo's. We watched football and got cheesesteaks / hoagies at local diners. It was fun to be with the DeFeos.

We came home and Pres. Morley left us a message. I called him and we talked about the Neutermans & Buckleys; the area. It's nice to know he's thinking of us.

Oh - did I skip an important event or what? Andrea's package finally arrived today. She sent a beautiful shirt and chocolates.

So we first went to the Neutermans and I called her from there. I also talked to Sis. Jones, her comp. from Fresno, CA. We (Andrea & I) talked for so long. At one point, the phone dropped and I had to go through the trouble of redialing. It was a beautiful, humorous, and intimate conversation. I love her dearly!

So tonight we ate at the Walkers. Larry Leonard and Marlene and family were over and we ate ham. The gravy looked like clumps of greases. During dinner I said, "Please pass the grease." Funny. We laughed.

The Linzey's came to the Walkers during dinner and we got presents and cookies from them. How sweet.

And after we got home, the Moore's had left food on our doorknob. Everyone out here has been so sweet to us.

Rogers keeps saying how everything sucks. His attitude bothers me. Always has.

Mike, downstairs, asked us to look after his house this week while they're away.

And I called home and talked to all my family and my grandparents. We talked about Sister Adams, my companion, area, church, home. It was great to talk to them.

And Perkins called. He was upset at Pres. Morley and E. Wilson over the Stan. of Excell. Covenant which he didn't sign and his mission. I gave him a pep talk. I hope he hangs tough!

Tonight, Don called. He said he'd call from a Christmas party at Robert Love's tomorrow night. That'll be nice! It was good to talk to him.

And at 1:30am, Dave Palomares called! We talked. He is a DJ and has a budding talent agency now at home in Burbank. He's cool! I am exhausted. Good night!
