February 13, 1995

Feb. 13th - I called the Group Home where our new media referral is. The owner said he couldn't "reveal" anything about Moses Coleman to us. He is our referral, Moses is. He is 16 and his mom referred him. The man, Mark Metz, told me he'd call back tomorrow.

We visited Graeme to give him the church key we borrowed also yesterday. And he was headed to the Wash. DC Temple, so we told him to include our area on the Prayer List.

Then we headed to June Kraylick's home. She had the lessons before. And she is unemployed; living in another man's home. She needs to get back on her feet. She did commit to having the lessons again. That was great!

And we found a trailer park on Easton Road and began to tract it out. There we entered the home of Karen. Her handicapped son, Shaun, a crippled daughter, Megan, were just home from school.

We taught a powerful first discussion. I explained the pre-existence and my perspective and feelings about Megan. It was even a rather emotional lesson.

Little Megan only spoke up twice in the discussion: once at the end of the First Vision, which was very cool; the other after Moroni's promise, to which Garlick goes, "I think she wants you to read the Book." It was awesome!

She told us just to come by during the week. Denied the Spirit totally. I know it was present!

And two doors later we talked to Ray, an auto mechanic, on his porch. He definitely  wanted to know more. The Spirit was so strong. We'll definitely return for him also.

Tonight we ate fajitas with the Ballards. Luke & Brad were crackin' jokes the whole time. They are so funny. And Sis. Ballard brought out an old suit of her husbands. She tried the jacket on me and said it looked too long. Well, I told her she probably didn't realize how much I don't care. Then she said  her neighbors she gave a Book of Mormon to, gave her a gift certificate to Marshalls. So she said after Vis. Teaching Sis. Bement on Wed., the 4 of us could go there and she'll buy me a new suit. I almost died!

So we had quite a day! Oh - and ... Andrea sent pix, a letter, and postcard & tape today. She is released from her mission! Yikes. And she comes home on the 23rd.

The tape was awesome. She even said that when we do meet and it works out, then she would even marry me! Of all the young women that could possibly be in my life, or all the girls who I've mentioned are sweet and cute, Andrea is definitely the Queen. I love her!
