Apr 2nd - This was a beautiful Sabbath Day. And of all conference talks, the testimony borne by Pres. James E. Faust was more than powerful. At the end of his talk, he said that he had a unique perception and sacred awareness that Christ lives and Joseph Smith restored the gospel, that was so holy ..... that the Holy Ghost could not give utterance. I know that he knows that the church is true, and I was blessed to be listening as he spoke today. Each session of conference this Spring has left an indelible stamp on my soul, and has truly raised my spirituality level. I know the church is true. The Holy Spirit confirmed that to me this weekend.
This morning, an alarmed E. Mooy desperately told me about a car accident. E. Olson & Holcomb were following Mooy, Bytheway, and Mark Fay, an investigator.
They were involved somehow in an accident with two women. So no one got a ticket or violation, but E. Olson's driving privileges are up in the air as well as a possible transfer between us. Elder Elder is going to Lansdale tomorrow to assess everything. Lansdale is a bike area temporarily. I hope everything works out OK.
We ate dinner with the "Demented" (Bement) family. What a riot.
After which, we were thoroughly impressed to hear a Mr. Dewey tell the entire Book of John by heart. What a magnificent and beautiful narration of the gospel.
We spoke with him afterwards, as well as our friend Nancy Sautter, the Assoc. Pastor, and other very friendly members of the Presbyterian church. What a marvelous bridge of communication and friendship has been built there.
